The Gun Lake Association (GLA) is a strong advocate for the appreciation, conservation and restoration of Gun Lake and its associated waterways and watershed. The Association strives to objectively represent all reasonable viewpoints on environmental issues affecting the lake and to facilitate the wise stewardship of our lake environment.
The Gun Lake Association facilitates and funds many activities on the lake including the annual Independence Day boat parade, member picnic, cabin tours as well as roadside clean-ups, and t-shirts sales – see events tab for upcoming activities. The Association also works to ensure the water quality of Gun Lake remains healthy and vibrant with annual lake treatments to combat and minimize Curly-leaf Pondweed – see lake profile tab to learn more.
If you use the lake for any activity or just appreciate its natural beauty, please consider joining the GLA. Membership is only $35 per year. Simply give your annual membership donation to any board member or mail it to Dayna Stuber at 7507 -113th Avenue North; Champlain, MN 55316. Make checks payable to the Gun Lake Association.
To help us rid the lake of Curly-leaf Pondweed, you can always make an additional donation to support our work and help maintain the natural beauty of Gun Lake. Learn more about our work here.
We need a new generation of board members to reinvigorate the Association. Please VOLUNTEER by emailing GunLakeMN@gmail.com or contact any board member and let them know about your interest.
